David comes with a fantastic pedigree, with over 30 years in Policing, the last four of which have been spent in Learning & Development closely associated to the College of Policing Ryton and delivering senior management & leadership programmes across the globe.

Three years later, in the summer of 2004, they underwent an intense three-day experience that proved them capable of delivering even more than they had previously imagined.

  • The Training Foundation appoints European Director

    The Training Foundation has appointed Hywel Thomas as European Director. Based permanently in Brussels, Thomas will be responsible for liaison with the European Institute for e-Learning (EifEL) , the e-Learning Industry Group (eLIG), the European Commission and international partners working with The Training Foundation as part of a strategy designed to create common standards and a standardised approach to training skills certification across the European Community and beyond.

    In a move that mirrors this month’s announcement by The Learning and Skills Council, The Training Foundation has announced its new regional management structure for England. These individuals will work with the LSC's new Regional Directors and a wide range of other partners as part of The Training Foundation mission to empower everyone involved in training and developing others.
