The learning industry’s leading specialist recruitment company, Blue Eskimo, has launched its ninth annual work and salary survey. Participants can win £300 in high-street vouchers.

The results of last year's survey

Blue Eskimo’s survey is widely regarded as the sector’s benchmark for the learning industry’s salary and work information and is the most comprehensive study of its kind. The study is now in its ninth year.

Nick Bate, director at Blue Eskimo, says that the survey provides a valuable and unique insight into work and pay within the UK’s learning sector. “There’s no other survey like it in the sector – offering both detailed and up-to-date information. This information just isn’t available anywhere else.”

Every previous copy of the survey is available online at the Blue Eskimo website. “Although we include comparative data for the last two years in each survey, we also leave older surveys online for reference,” says Bate.

This year, as an incentive for people to take part, the company is offering the winner a choice of high-street vouchers, worth £300. The only qualification for taking part in the survey is that the person must work in a training, e-learning or learning & development organisation or learning department.

In addition to providing the results online, a copy will be made available to members of the Learning & Performance Institute – and will be distributed at February’s Learning Technologies conference and exhibition, which runs from 1–2 February 2017 at Olympia, in London.

According to Bate, the survey underlines Blue Eskimo’s status as a genuine recruitment specialist within the learning sector. “Blue Eskimo is 100% dedicated to the learning industry; it’s all that we do – and it’s all that we have done for the last 13 years. We’re the clear market leader for learning recruitment – when surveyed, 81% of people said that they would turn to Blue Eskimo to help them find a new job.”

The survey is open now and can be taken online – it runs from now until mid-December and takes less than five minutes to complete. The results of the survey will be available early in 2017 – and the winner of the high-street vouchers should receive them in time for this Christmas.
