Blue Eskimo, the specialist recruitment company for the learning and technology industries, has announced its 2008 salary and work survey - and participants can win an iPod Touch worth £219.

The survey is open to anyone who works within the training, learning or technology sectors. There are just a few questions and it takes less than five minutes to complete.

The results of the survey will be published towards the end of January 2009, on Blue Eskimo's Web site.

Nick Bate, director at Blue Eskimo, said that the survey would provide useful information for companies and employees alike. "With the current difficulties in the economy," said Bate, "it's more important than ever to have our fingers on the pulse regarding trends in work and employment. Our survey is focused on specific sectors, and should provide some vital feedback to everyone."

Blue Eskimo is planning on running the survey each year, to measure progress and trends within the learning and technology industries. "Because we're at the heart of these industries," says Bate, "we're better placed to ask questions and then publish the resulting information."

As an incentive, anyone who takes part can optionally be entered into a prize draw to win a 16GB iPod Touch, worth £219. "To take part and to qualify for the prize draw," says Bate, "people just have to work - in any role - in learning and development or in technology, in the UK."

The survey is open until 16 December 2008. "This should give us just enough time to get the iPod to the lucky winner before Christmas," concludes Bate.
