Specialist training, e-learning and technology recruitment company Blue Eskimo has announced the winner of the free iPod Touch, in a prize draw from those who completed its Salary and Work Survey 2008.

Nick Jones, director at Blue Eskimo, says that the survey has been a great success. "Nearly 500 people completed the survey," says Jones, "which we think is a really healthy number. It gives us a large pool of data from which to compile our final statistics. We expect there to be some very interesting results."

Everyone who entered the survey was given the option to be entered into a prize draw to win an Apple iPod Touch, worth £219. The winner of the prize draw is Laura Benning. The iPod Touch will be despatched to the winner, to be enjoyed in time for Christmas.

"We want to thank everyone who took part," says Jones. "The economy is facing an especially difficult time and this was clearly expressed in the survey - but people still found time to participate in this important study."

The survey is expected to show more clearly how the current economic crisis is affecting the learning, e-learning and technology industries - as expressed by those 'at the sharp end'.

The survey will be released in January 2009, on the company's Web site. It will be free to download.
