Tribal Group is proud to announce that Canterbury Christ Church University has selected SITS: Vision as its Student Information Management System (SIMS).

Inspired by the Church of England foundation, Canterbury Christ Church University's mission is to pursue excellence in higher education: transforming individuals, creating knowledge, enriching communities and building a sustainable future. The University has a network of campuses and centres which stretch across Kent and Medway, which are a vital part of the local communities.

In 2017, Canterbury Christ Church University started to look for a new SIMS, launching project MOSI (Modernising our Student Information). They wanted a system that would provide a holistic view of the student journey, from application, academic record, interactions, through to award and graduation. The University structured the ideal student journey, mapping out each stage with the functionality they required from the new student information system.

Following a thorough competitive dialogue and tender process, the University selected SITS: Vision, Tribal's leading student information system. Canterbury Christ Church University joins Tribal Group's UK customer base of universities, which includes the University of Oxford, King's College London, University of St Andrews, University of Sheffield, Northumbria University, Glasgow Caledonian University, and Cardiff University.

SITS: Vision is specifically designed for higher education providers to manage and improve every aspect of the student journey.

Tribal is offering the University a single version of the truth, with quick and easy access to personalised and relevant data for staff and students.

SITS: Vision will help Canterbury Christ Church University to deliver an excellent experience for their students, throughout their University journey. The strategic focus for the University has student experience as its heart, with an aim for technology that simplifies, modernises, and personalises the interactions between the University and its students. SITS: Vision is an intuitive system, that will streamline processes to suit the needs of the students.

The contract is for an initial period of seven years, with an option to extend for a further three years. The project is currently in the early stages of implementation.

Cathy Lambert, Director of Planning and Academic Administration at Canterbury Christ Church University said:

"As part of our proposal, we required a system that would deliver one place where all processes can be updated, giving us a clear picture of the students' progress and support requirements. Tribal has demonstrated throughout an extensive dialogue process and robust tender submission an understanding of the key issues that we face at Canterbury Christ Church. We are confident that we will work successfully in partnership to improve confidence in our data, and move towards standardising, streamlining and simplifying our processes to significantly enhance the student and staff experience."

Speaking on behalf of Tribal, Jon Baldwin, Managing Director - Higher Education said:

"We are delighted to be working with Canterbury Christ Church University, SITS: Vision will enable the University to simplify processes and support students in each step of their journey. We look forward to working with the University to help them deliver their modernising student information ambitions."
