Brand new AML and CTF training

Learning NewsThe Access Group

Release of Unicorn's redesigned and revamped AML and CTF course is imminent. The updated course features enhanced content surrounding the practical tools and prevention methods for these crimes, as well as Countering Terrorist Financing content and its parallels to AML preventative measures. This course is targeted for release in July 2019.

WHAT UNICORN IS DOING AND WHY

Financial crime is an ever-evolving and challenging area for firms, therefore we have decided to rewrite and redesign our Anti-money Laundering (AML) content, enhancing the experience for the learner when undertaking this important aspect of regulatory compliance training.

COUNTER TERRORIST FINANCING

Unicorn is also increasing its coverage of the ongoing battle that regulated firms face in Countering Terrorist Financing (CTF). There are similarities that parallel AML – such as being subject to similar preventative measures around Customer Due Diligence (CDD) / Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and the reporting of suspicions. The two are often mentioned together in the industry and regulation.

A CONSOLIDATED APPROACH

In Unicorn's current Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) library there are a number of AML courses split by crown overseas jurisdictions and regulated industry sector. These will be merged into one AML and CTF course and through the use of branching techniques the learner can select the jurisdiction most relevant to them at certain points in the course, for example where legislation and regulatory guidance differs.

CASE STUDIES

The course uses the best principles of engagement to deliver practical, role-relevant learning and interactive case studies, making this learning that sticks.

The new course will be available in the GRC library in July 2019. Those interested in accessing the GRC content, including this new course, should contact Unicorn Training.
