MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA. (September 6, 2005) -- SumTotal™ Systems (NASDAQ: SUMT), the largest provider of learning and business performance technologies and services, today announced that new partner, Driven Systems, a leading provider of consulting services and solutions based in Brighton, England, has selected the SumTotal Enterprise Suite as the backbone of a comprehensive e-learning offering for its growing roster of commercial and public-sector clients in the United Kingdom.

Driven Systems will incorporate SumTotal's TotalLMS and TotalLCMS into tailored solutions for its customers that include strategic and blended learning consulting, change management, success measurement and quality assurance. TotalLMS will bolster Driven Systems' strong blended learning approach by enabling a diverse range of delivery environments, including self-paced and live interactive online training, instructor-led courses, on-the-job training, seminars, mentoring and written documentation.

In addition, the extensive built-in reporting capabilities in TotalLMS will allow Driven Systems customers to accurately measure learning results and gauge the impact of learning initiatives on their organizations' business performance. Driven Systems also will use TotalLCMS to help its customers streamline and enrich the development of content and courseware in a collaborative development environment.

"We believe that there is much to do to improve the quality and impact of learning in organizations across all sectors. Ultimately, we want to encourage a 'culture of learning' throughout the enterprises we work with, and through them, devise innovative initiatives that go to benefit the greater public as a whole, " said Graham Sherry, managing director of Driven Systems. "We see SumTotal as an ideal partner in that effort. It is a stable, global organization with a strong vision and a very strong solution. The SumTotal Enterprise Suite is on the right technological path, both in terms of current customer needs and future proof technology, and it is setting the standard for this industry."

SumTotal and Driven Systems already share a number of joint customers in the UK, including high-speed broadband provider, NTL, Arqiva, Vodafone, and the National College for School Leadership (NCSL). For NCSL, SumTotal and Driven Systems delivered key aspects of the ground breaking NCSL "Learning Gateway" solution, a government-backed initiative to provide a single national focus for school leadership, development, research and innovation in England. The 50,000-user initiative has met with considerable success and was honored earlier this year with the award of excellence at Britain's e-Government National Awards.

"We are delighted to add Driven Systems to the network of outstanding international partners helping us serve our customers around the globe," said R. Andrew Eckert, SumTotal CEO. "SumTotal and Driven Systems share a common commitment to broadening the reach of learning both internally and externally across the enterprise, and to increasing learning's strategic impact on operational, revenue and employee development goals. We expect our joint customers to benefit significantly from the combination of proven business and industry expertise, implementation success and leading-edge technologies."
