Plymouth, UKLearning NewsSponge

Elearning Development Company of the Year, Sponge UK, will be revealing at Learning Technologies 2015 how its bespoke solutions are helping to make a big difference to workplace learning and performance.

Visitors and delegates to Europe’s largest L&D conference at London’s Olympia (January 28-29) will be able to see real life examples of Sponge’s innovative work at stand 112 in the main exhibition hall.

The company’s Managing Director, Louise Pasterfield, said: “Learning Technologies is the most important event in our calendar and we value the chance to talk about elearning and why we love making it.

“Our focus is meeting people face-to-face, having great conversations about learning and showing some practical examples of how we have helped organisations meet their challenges.

“One of the areas we are most excited about is the use of games within elearning so we have lots to share on the subject.”

There are two chances to see Sponge UK’s free seminar offering hints and tips for creating affordable interactive video that can be incorporated into a skills development game.

Behind the Scenes: Creating Elearning Games Using Interactive Video takes place on January 28 at 11am in Learning Technologies Theatre 4 and on January 29 at 12:45 in Learning and Skills Theatre 9.

Sponge’s game expert, Jason Butler, will also be on hand at the company’s stand to answer all manner of questions about elearning games, their development and design.

In the main conference, United Biscuits will explain how Sponge UK used powerful video to create an elearning module for their workforce on performance management, which has proved popular with staff and helped to change behaviour at the global snack manufacturer.

The session called Video for Learning (T3S6) takes place at 15.30-16.40 on January 29.

Once again, Sponge UK will be handing out one of the most popular and unusual conference giveaways - a beautiful, sustainably-sourced natural sponge.
