Behind the scenes guide to elearning games using interactive video
Plymouth, UKLearning NewsSponge
A practical guide to creating an elearning game for skills development using interactive video will be presented at a seminar at Learning Technologies 2015.
Leading elearning provider, Sponge UK will be hosting the session to give Learning & Development professionals an insight into the process from coming up with the initial idea through to the delivery of the final product.
Sponge UK’s Managing Director, Louise Pasterfield, said: “People frequently associate game elearning in a corporate setting with compliance issues such as spotting health and safety hazards, but we have been exploring its potential within the field of skills development.
“We will look at how interactive video is an affordable alternative to animation in this context and provide ideas to take away and implement in your own organisation.”
Using a real-life example, the seminar will offer hints and tips for creating affordable interactive video that can be incorporated into an elearning game and this will be demonstrated.
Kate Pasterfield, Sponge UK’s Creative Director, will be sharing her observations during the session: “People really want to know where we get our ideas from and how we turn them into the finished product.
“We will be working through the process step by step and sharing how we made our decisions, from choice of content to flow, direction and casting, as well as the team needed to bring it all together.”
There are two chances to catch the seminar Behind the Scenes: Creating Elearning Games Using Interactive Video on January 28 at 11am in Learning Technologies Theatre 4 and on January 29 at 12:45 in Learning and Skills Theatre 9.
Registration for the seminar is available via the Learning Technologies 2015 web site.
Sponge UK will be at Stand 112 in the main exhibition hall throughout the event at Olympia Central, London on January 28 and 29.
The provider was named Elearning Development Company of the Year at the Elearning Awards in November.
