GfK learning team recognised for their outstanding impact on employee engagement.

Saba Software is delighted to announce that customer, GfK has won the gold award for Learning Technologies Team of the Year. This prestigious award recognises teams that have achieved a positive change within their organisation using learning technologies as a performance development tool.

GfK is one of the largest market research companies globally, with 9,000+ employees across 60+ countries. In a challenging and changing market, there was a vital business need for their globally diverse and dispersed teams to speak the same 'commercial language'. The learning team recognised the need to create and deliver consistent global learning to support employees through significant business transformation and ensure a positive impact on their behaviour and confidence.

With the support of the Saba Cloud platform, GfK's small team of 6 learning specialists has helped its global employee group through significant corporate change. Content was developed with, by and for the business. Involving the marketing team, salespeople and a sample of end-users, GfK used their people as content developers and reviewers. This has resulted in learning designed for the individual that is more user-friendly and relevant.

Teams from across the business now put the client at the centre of everything they do and importantly everyone is speaking the same commercial language.

The 2019 Learning Technologies judging panel said: 'GfK's small L&D team has achieved a major strategic change in a large organisation. The judges were impressed not only with what they had achieved as a group but with the make-up of the team and the clear contribution of each member.'

Jason Flynn, Global Head of Learning, GfK, said: 'Our global L&D team is aligned to the strategy of the company, but we did not want to be about business as usual. We wanted to give people something they have never had before, something that excites them. I am immensely proud of what the team has achieved, and this award is recognition of all their hard work.'

Christian Foerg, General Manager EMEA, Saba, said: 'GfK has been a Saba customer for a decade, and it has been amazing to be a part of their journey. From local to global player from a business perspective, in parallel developing the supporting L&D strategy/tools - kudos to the entire GfK team on this well-deserved win.'
