PSI to deliver Secure English Language Test (SELT) for overseas UK visa applicants
PSI Services LLC, a global workforce solutions provider of best-in-class assessment content, leading-edge technology, and deep consulting expertise across the career life cycle, today confirmed that it has reached a commercial arrangement with the UK Home Office to deliver the Secure English Language Test, or SELT, for overseas UK visa applicants.
London, UK – 29th January 2020, PSI Services LLC (PSI), a global workforce solutions provider of best-in-class assessment content, leading-edge technology, and deep consulting expertise across the career life cycle, today confirmed that it has reached a commercial arrangement with the UK Home Office to deliver the Secure English Language Test, or SELT, for overseas UK visa applicants.
PSI is one of only four organisations to have this arrangement to deliver the approved English proficiency test in non-UK markets for the period 2020 to 2023, with the option to extend for a further two years. This means that applicants will have access to PSI’s fully online testing experience via its global test centre network from mid-2020.
Janet Garcia, Executive Vice President of PSI’s Global Credentialing Division, commented, “We’re delighted with this outcome, which represents a significant extension of our engagement with the Home Office, for whom we already deliver the existing ‘Life in the UK’ citizenship test. The Secure English Language Test is the description given by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) to the English language tests that they require as evidence of English Language proficiency for UK visa applications.
The delivery of this programme will further reinforce PSI’s presence in the global secure testing market, which comprises over 2,000 testing locations spanning 160 countries.
