San Francisco, CALearning NewsLinkedIn

LinkedIn Announces Exclusive Unveiling of 2018 Workplace Learning Report at Learning Technologies, London. LinkedIn surveyed over 1,000 talent management professionals, almost 2,000 employees, over 200 executives, and 400 people managers to provide a holistic view of the state of modern workplace learning.

It’s a fact: the workforce is rapidly changing, and as the workforce changes, we the people—the employees, change.

As a result, the talent development function—the internal teams that thrive in creating opportunities for its people to learn and grow—has never been more important.

Our research shows that today’s talent developer is being asked to play a central role in strategic future workforce planning while increasing the breadth and depth of learning programs, and catering to a multi-generational workforce with varied learning needs.

This is no easy task and talent development can’t do it alone. Learning doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Successful learning programs and strategy requires every member of the global workforce to play a role.

That’s why we surveyed over 1,000 talent development professionals, almost 2,000 employees, over 200 executives, and 400 people managers—to provide a holistic view of the state of modern workplace learning.

In this presentation, talent developers can discover new workplace learning trends and gain actionable recommendations on how to close and prevent skills gaps while overcoming persistent L&D challenges.
