LINE Communications has been awarded two major accolades at the recent e-learning awards in London. The first was awarded in the category of Excellence in the Production of Learning Content for a Learning Centre and Foundation Skills programme developed for Ford of Europe. The programme, designed to engage 21,000 learners within Ford's dealerships across Europe, was translated into 23 European languages. It has secured significant business results for Ford since its launch in early 2008.

The second accolade was awarded to LINE's CEO, Piers Lea in the category of E-learning Industry Award for Outstanding Achievement by an individual. The award was won in recognition of his contribution to the e-learning industry and his inspirational leadership of LINE over the past 20 years. The entry for this award was supported by glowing commendations from clients, partners and from members of the LINE team.

Steve Ash, LINE's Director of Sales and Marketing says," The competition for the awards this year was particularly intense which makes the winning of these two accolades especially pleasing. The results of the Ford Foundation Programme have been particularly impressive. We are really delighted for Piers as LINE celebrates its 21st birthday next year and Piers has been a key player in the e-learning industry for as long as there has been one in the UK."

The awards, which are judged by a panel of independent experts, were made during a gala presentation dinner at the prestigious Park Lane Hotel on the 12th of November.
