World of Learning: Asma Shah

Asma Shah, founder and CEO of the You Make It programme, opened day two at World of Learning with a keynote speech about motivating people to learn.

Asma talked about the importance of placing relationships at the heart of learning and encouraging learning and development professionals not to lose sight of relationships in the face of the wealth of new technology available for learning. 

Motivated by her personal back story, Asma was inspired to create a truly effective programme for young, working-class women in East London. You Make It combines a range of creative workshops, mentoring and business initiatives to help guide women to happier and more independent lives.
