EDUopinions ranks German Universities best in Europe
Education review site EDUopinions has found that Universities in Germany have the highest proportion of 5 star reviews in Europe.
The site, which collects genuine reviews from students for their experiences at Universities, business schools and colleges around the world and asks them to rate their experience out of 5; found that more than 41% of their reviews for German Universities were 5 out of 5, with 40% 4 out of 5.
Germany, which doesn’t have the same level of prestige or tradition that comes with some other institutions enjoyed a high average rating - 4.2 out of 5 which shows that it’s all about quality of teaching rather then weight of reputation.
Despite their high proportion of 5 star ratings, students in the United Kingdom had a higher average rating of 4.3 - with more than 90% of their reviews for the United KIngdom’s myriad of institutions were either 4 or 5 stars out of 5.
Of all reviews from UK students, 90% of them were either 4 out of 5 or 5 out of 5 with the average rating being 4.3 out of 5. There were just 9% 3 star reviews and less than 1% were 2 star reviews with nobody rating their educational establishment less than 2 stars.
Like the UK, there are no 1 star reviews for German institutions and students in Germany were the most likely to give a 5 star review to their experience at 41.2% compared to the UK’s 40.9%.
The worst performing country in the EU was Spain, with an average review of just 3.9/5 for their various institutions. In Spain more than 25% of the reviews received were for 3 stars or less and they had a 5 star rating of just 25%, making students in Spain the least likely to award their University, School or College 5 stars out of 5.
