LEARNING LIVE 2016 announces Richard Wiseman as second keynote speaker

Following on from the announcement of keynote Elliott Masie, LEARNING LIVE 2016 will feature author, psychologist and TV presenter, Richard Wiseman, for a second keynote session on the afternoon of September 8th.
Professor Richard Wiseman has been described by one Scientific American columnist as '….the most interesting and innovative experimental psychologist in the world today'. He has written several best selling popular psychology books (including The Luck Factor, Quirkology, and 59 Seconds), and has sold over 3 million copies worldwide.
Listed in the Independent On Sunday’s top 100 people who make Britain a better place to live, Richard has appeared in countless television and radio programmes, including ABC’s 20/20, NBC’s Dateline, BBC Radio 4’s The Today Programme and The Infinite Monkey Cage, and BBC2’s The Culture Show. His psychology-based Quirkology YouTube channel has over 2 million subscribers and received over 360 million views, and he has created online content for Derren Brown’s The Events, the launch of CBS’s The Mentalist, and Transport For London.
Richard began his working life as a professional magician and is a Member of the Inner Magic Circle. He completed his PhD at the University of Edinburgh and currently holds Britain’s only Professorship in the Public Understanding of Psychology (University of Hertfordshire).
For the past decade Richard has also spoken at several science and literary festivals, including The Royal Society, The Royal Institution, The Edinburgh Book Festival, The Cheltenham Literary Festival and The Dubai Festival of Literature. Richard recently presented his new live show, Psychobabble, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to sell out audiences and positive reviews.
