The Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) launches its annual Learning Survey – a comprehensive review of the workplace learning sector.

Shaped by Institute members and backed by hundreds of Institute accredited organisations, the Learning Survey is a comprehensive review of the workplace learning sector. The research will build a picture of the current workplace learning landscape and plot future trends for 2014 and beyond.

The survey will look at how L&D professionals are using learning media such as e-learning, mobile learning, social media, e-labs and webinars, how budgets are being allocated and issues involving skills, resources and knowledge.

This year’s survey will look to build on the success of last year, where over 500 L&D professionals completed the Learning Survey 2013, with some interesting results.

Learning & Performance Institute Chief Executive, Colin Steed has seen both the good and bad in changes this year.

He said: “The continued economic conditions seem to have increased the speed and necessity for change in many industries, but the changes are not all bad. In the L&D sector we’ve seen a sharp rise in the adoption of emerging learning technologies, especially in the public sector, and I would expect this to increase again next year. We’re also seeing a positive change in how we access and share learning resources.

“What has been lacking is an impartial data store to capture, measure and benchmark the rate of change and interpret what this means for a training, L&D or HR professional - the Learning Survey does precisely that.”

If you’re involved in workplace learning you can take part in the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LearningSurvey2014

The survey closes at 5pm on Friday 16th May.

All participants will receive a summary of the results and be in with the chance of winning two tickets to LEARNING LIVE 2014, held at etc venues’ 155 Bishopsgate, London on 10th – 11th September 2014.
