IITT launches new website

Learning NewsLPI (Learning and Performance Institute)

We are delighted to announce that, as from Monday 14th May, the new Institute website will be live.

The IITT website has undergone a complete redesign and modernisation, making it easier for visitors and members to access information about all products and services from the Institute.

Chief Executive Colin Steed explained that the Institute website was in need of redevelopment. "The old site was over 5 years old and needed a complete makeover. Over the years we had bolted on a plethora of new information and frankly it looked tired. It was also difficult to find information and so we have, with the help of the NCC, completely modernised it and brought it up to today's standards."

"As a standards body, we naturally made sure that the site complies to the accessibility and W3 standards that are now a requirement for all websites," he said.

"The Find Accredited Organisations area has had a thorough makeover and I am delighted with the results. It is now extremely easy and quick to find an IITT Accredited provider."

The site is Phase One of a complete redevelopment and unfortunately some of the facilities that we used to provide are not live yet. The sections planned for Phase Two, due in the Summer, are Submit A Tender, Find A Freelance Trainer, and the members' CPD records. Steed explained that these facilities will be back in Phase Two. "I realise that this will cause some inconvenience in the short-term but they will be back," said Steed.

"The Find A Freelance Trainer facility is still available on the Members' area of the site (IITT Connect) so training buyers can still find IITT Freelance Trainers. Obviously, it is imperative for all members to ensure that their records are up to date on the IITT Connect site. This particularly applies to Freelance Trainers as it is from this database that buyers will be searching on. Additionally, members who need to submit their CPD records in order to renew membership should simply send a Word Document or PDF with their renewal form and we shall hold them with the appropriate member's records."

The site will be live Monday 14th May. The url is the same: www.iitt.org.uk.
