Learning NewsLPI (Learning and Performance Institute)

A new membership benefit has been announced following an alliance between the Institute and organisers of the Learning Technologies exhibition and conference, in association with Centra.

We are delighted to invite all Institute members to the Learning Technologies Group/IITT on-line event, taking place on Thursday, June 27th.

To participate in these FREE online sessions, all you have to do is register at: http://www.learningtechnologies.co.uk/conference/ltgroup.cfm

You will then be sent an email confirming your registration and the three easy steps you need to follow in order to attend the event.

For the June Learning Technologies Group on-line event there will be three
sessions:

Session: 1
Developing Blended Learning Solutions that Work
Clive Shepherd, e-Learning Director, Institute of IT Training
10.00 - 11.00 BST

Session: 2
Matching IT Jobs to Skills
Steve Gilroy, International VP, Computer Trade Industry Association
12.00 - 13.00 BST

Session: 3
Making Training Part of your Business Strategy
Mike Godsey, Group Program Manager, Global Learning Services, Microsoft
16.00 - 17.00 BST

If you have registered before for one of the Learning Technologies on-line events, please note that although your username and passwords will remain the same, you have to register for each monthly event to be logged on the system.

You don't need much - just a browser, Internet access and a sound card, although a headset and a microphone are useful, too. These are available from the organisers free of charge if you feel they will add to your experience.

"There will be a series of events running and we shall announce the next batch of events shortly," explained Colin Steed, chief executive of the IITT. "We shall also be running Institute specific events on a monthly basis and once again I shall announce that programme soon," he said.

"This is a tremendous benefit for members and will give them chance to learn from eminent speakers from their own desktop," said Steed. "Additionally all those who attend these sessions can put them on their list of CPD for membership renewal. I look forward to meeting you all online!"
