At this year's IT Training Awards, Nadya Nathan of Happy Computers was named IT Trainer of the Year 2011. And Happy Computers itself won Silver in IT Training Company of the year.

The awards, organised by the Institute of IT Training and held at the Dorchester Hotel, continue Happy Computers' remarkable record. In twelve successive years as a finalist the company has won Gold twice, Silver four times and Bronze on three occasions.

The judges described Happy as “a shining light in the IT training sector”, going on to say that “Happy’s success is based on providing ‘experiences’ rather than selling packaged ‘products’."

Awarding Nadya Nathan the title of IT Trainer of the Year, the judges applauded her “highly involving and engaging approach to analysing, developing and supporting learners in their skills journey.” They were especially impressed by Nadya’s “extensive business knowledge, by her empathy, and by her ability to translate business requirements into skills needs, and then into performance gains.”

Nadya is the fourth of Happy Computers' trainers to be named IT Trainer of the Year, with four others gaining Silver or Bronze medals in the last 10 years. Past Happy winners were Cathy Busani, Donna Wheeler and Ed Lepre.

"It was a brilliant night", commented founder and Chief Executive Henry Stewart. "It highlighted the remarkable work going on throughout the IT Training industry. And Colin Steed deserves special mention for continuing to make a real focus on support for Childline, with the total raised passing £200,000. The evening is a great balance between celebrating business success and supporting the wider community."
