aNewSpring, the learning enhancement platform, announced today that they’ve received the ISO 27001 for its Information Security Management System (and used Rickrolling in the process). The certification helps manage the security of all information assets, both internal and external.

When people are looking for a learning platform, LMS or authoring tool, security of the data is an important factor. The ISO 27001 certification demonstrates aNewSpring’s commitment to proactively manage and protect information assets.

“Internally, we were confident that we are a reliable company to work with. We have carefully designed our processes and continue to improve them. But without a certification, it’s hard to prove this to the outside world,” Says Marlijn van de Kerkhof, Process and Quality Assurance Manager. “The certification enables us to say: Look, here’s the proof that we’re a trusted party.”

Martèn de Prez, co-owner of aNewSpring, adds: “The certification is about making continuous improvement a part of your system. Continuous improvement is a core value of aNewSpring so there was a great fit already. I’m very glad we’ve acquired the certification to show our customers that they can rely on us to keep their data private and secure.”
