Xyleme Appoints Greg Schottland as Vice President of Operations

Seasoned executive to oversee engineering and operations of learning content management leader

Xyleme® Inc., a leading provider of 100% XML, open and standards-based learning content management solutions, today announced that Greg Schottland has been named Vice President of Operations. A seasoned technology executive, Greg will oversee engineering and operations as Xyleme continues its fast-paced growth trajectory.

Greg comes to Xyleme with over 25 years of experience in starting and growing software companies in evolving markets. He has both created and run startups, as well as large public companies and is familiar with all aspects of the business.

Greg founded object oriented tools leader Advanced Software Technologies, growing it to the number two player behind Rational Software before being acquired. He was most recently General Manager of public company BluePhoenix and has also worked for Bell Laboratories, Lockheed Martin and IBM.

Greg holds an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a B.S. in Business from the University of Colorado.
