World of Learning Opens in Two Weeks
The World of Learning Conference & Exhibition opens on 17 October at Birmingham’s NEC. The two-day event has established itself as a highlight in the L&D calendar every year, bringing together a host of industry experts and leading suppliers with senior-level L&D professionals.
Boasting a prestigious line-up of speakers from organisations including Barclays Bank, the BBC and PwC, and eminent names such as Dr Fons Trompenaars, the renowned conference offers delegates the chance to hear about the latest L&D innovation in practice.
The World of Learning exhibition showcases more than 100 L&D providers, and offers visitors a host of interactive workshops and inspirational zones designed to facilitate discussion, learning and networking.
A comprehensive programme of more than 40 free seminars will cover key industry subjects from virtual learning to leadership and driving business improvement.
Those involved in learning technology design can hear from specialists in a series of presentations at the Learning Design Live conference, while visitors wishing to sample the latest innovations and technology can do so at the Technology Test Drive.
New for this year, eLearning Studios are hosting the Virtual Reality (VR) Suite where visitors can experience immersive learning scenarios for themselves and try out the latest headsets including Samsung Gear, Google Daydream, Cardboard and Oculus Rift.
Within the Apprenticeship Zone, a dedicated programme of free seminars will cover every aspect of the recently-introduced Apprenticeship Levy, including structuring and delivering an apprenticeship programme.
The concept of #TrainInYourTrainers returns to this year’s show, as visitors are once again encouraged to attend the event in casual clothes. Visitors will be able to take part in a number of hands-on activities, including tackling the enigma challenge at the team-building zone, or experiencing Sundial’s sensory zone aboard their 1960s vintage bus.
An ideal platform from which to launch new products or services, this year TeamKITE will launch their unique team assessment platform at the event, and People Alchemy will launch their new tool, Alchemy DRIVE, a multi-lingual Learning Transfer Platform (TLP) which ensures the transfer of learning from the classroom to the workplace.
Event visitors can benefit from significant discounts on products and services booked with a variety of exhibitors. Among the promotions, Acteon, will be offering a 20% discount on their Knowledge Centre LMS to World of Learning visitors until the end of the year, while See Learning Films will offer a 20% discount on all bespoke in-house videos booked in October.
Several exhibitors are offering the chance to win valuable training sessions, including Innate Leaders who will host a prize draw for a complimentary half-day team coaching and management consulting session. As ever, there will be a bounty of quality giveaways across the exhibitor stands.
Andrew Gee, Senior Project Manager for the World of Learning, summarises: “World of Learning brings together leading minds with cutting edge technology to empower L&D professionals to meet the needs of the organisations they serve.
“Visitors will leave with new strategies, tools and business connections to help them deliver measurable results.”
