Webanywhere, the Yorkshire-based workplace learning provider, is delivering an innovative online training solution based on a core Totara LMS platform to a leading Hampshire-based charity providing care, support and advice services to around 8,000 vulnerable people each year across the South Coast of England.

The Webanywhere solution will enable the client - The You Trust - to migrate away from its legacy learning platform, transforming the way that online training is delivered to its 500 paid and volunteer staff and broadening its audience reach.

The charity’s business objectives were to create a more personalised experience for the learner, integrate with an online eStore to offer courses and content to a wider audience, deliver better reporting, integrate with HR systems, and multi-tenancy (enabling multiple groups, or organisations, to access learning from a single instance of the software).

Webanywhere was able to translate YOU’s exciting vision into reality by undertaking comprehensive initial consultancy to agree the specification and architecture for the technology solution, which is a controlled customisation of the Totara LMS platform hosted in the Rackspace cloud.

The solution - named My Learning Cloud - will create a personalised learning environment for users, enabling access to a large number of interactive online training courses that support and augment class-based training and eLearning interventions. The platform is compatible with mobile browsers, enabling access to learning on the move.

“Our solution to replace YOU’s legacy platform with a Totara-based solution offers them a completely automated means to create, share, commercialise and report on their courses,” said Conor Gilligan, Head of Workplace Learning (EMEA/ NAM) at Webanywhere. “We’re pleased that our project with YOU will enable them to reach an even broader audience, and ultimately create a better online learning experience for thousands of users each month.”

Steven Embleton, Learning and Leadership Manager at YOU, said "The Webanywhere solution will enable us to interact with our employees and stakeholders on a completely different level and enhance our ability to accelerate and commercialise subject-specific learning for a much wider audience. We chose to work with Webanywhere due to their expertise in Totata and Moodle system development and ability to translate our business vision into reality.”
