The Webanywhere solution has enabled the client - The Knowledge Engineers - to commercialise digital content that is published on its new 12/Ahead portal. Users of the portal can 'pull' online content from around the world, featuring cutting-edge coverage of digital marketing trends and creative technologies. Clients of The Knowledge Engineers can also access in-depth training in specific topics by accessing learning content that is 'pushed' from the company’s online practical learning platform Digital Knowledge Centre.

Webanywhere was able to translate The Knowledge Engineers' exciting vision into reality by undertaking comprehensive initial consultancy to agree the specification and architecture for the solution, which is based on two core technologies:-

1. The 12Ahead portal is built using the open source web platform, Drupal. Drupal is the most popular and most powerful open-source content management system, highly configurable, SEO friendly out-of-the-box and supported by a large global developer community.

2. The Digital Knowledge Centre is an integrated Learning Management System; a controlled customisation of the TotaraLMS platform which delivers interactive online training courses in a wide range of digital subjects. The platform is compatible with mobile browsers, enabling access to learning on the move.

“Our solution to create the integrated pull/push learning portal offers The Knowledge Engineers and its customers a completely automated means of publishing, sharing and accelerating subject-specific learning,” said Conor Gilligan, Head of Operations at Webanywhere's Workplace Learning division. “We’re pleased that our relationship with The Knowledge Engineers will enable them to reach an even broader audience, and ultimately create a better online learning experience for thousands of visitors each month.”

Faith Hill, Publishing Director at The Knowledge Engineers, said "We are helping many global brands and marketing agenciesto build and enhance their digital capability through online and classroom training, reachingthousands of learners in over 30 countries. We chose to work with Webanywhere due to their expertise in open source development, configuration and integration of core learning platforms.”
