Watson Martin Unveils Plans to Launch New CIPD Qualifications in January 2021

Leading HR and L&D training specialists Watson Martin today announced it will be introducing the full range of new CIPD HR and L&D qualifications in January*. The new 2021 qualifications, which reflect the CIPD Profession Map, have been developed to ensure people professionals are equipped to make a greater impact on the changing world of work.

Candidates will be able to enrol onto the new CIPD programmes with Watson Martin from January 2021 and can commence their studies in March.  They will be able to choose from  a variety of flexible delivery methods to suit different learning styles and all available will be delivered ,allowing candidates to choose an optional unit that is most relevant to them  As usual, all Watson Martin candidates will be supported by an expert personal adviser throughout their learning journey and will have access to a 24/7 virtual learning environment.

“The qualifications are a great opportunity for us and we are excited about introducing them next month, said Melanie Martin, Watson Martin Director.

“Unlike many CIPD centres which offer a much narrower portfolio, we have offered the full range of HR and L&D units at each level for many years and so are well placed to deliver all the new topics. We are passionate about the long-term evolution of our industry and see the new qualifications as providing a strong foundation to support people professionals in their work in the years to come,” she added.

Five new CIPD qualifications will be available from 11th January 2021.

Foundation - One Certificate qualification in People Practice Level 3 which covers both HR and L&D and leads to Foundation Membership.

Associate - Two Diploma qualifications which either focus on People Management or Organisational Learning and Development Level 5 and lead to Associate Membership.

Advanced - Two Diploma qualifications which either focus on Strategic People Management or Strategic Learning and Development Level 7 and lead to Associate Membership. Those who have the required professional experience will be able to apply for Chartered CIPD Membership.

New learning topics to equip people professionals with the skills and knowledge for the future will be available at each level including: Diversity and Inclusion, Wellbeing at Work and International People Management.

New candidates can still enrol on CIPD current qualifications until 31 July 2021.  Learners who are already studying with Watson Martin have until Summer 2023 to complete their qualification and will still gain the expected membership associated with their programme.
