Reed Business School working through Watson Martin Partnership it to present at Learning Technologies 2015, later this month in London, on how Rolls Royce's is using a virtual approach to deliver L&D qualifications.

Brian Stanton, Global Head of Customer and Product Training at Rolls-Royce plc and Joseph Grech, Senior Consultant at Watson Martin Partnership will discuss why Rolls-Royce has chosen to adopt a virtual approach to develop their key customer facing employees. As part of the launch of CIPD's new L&D qualifications, Rolls-Royce is collaborating with Watson Martin Partnership to deliver their first virtual L&D qualification.

Attendees will find out how the programme was developed to be not only innovative and flexible, but also enable L&D experts across global sites to interact and learn from each other, using innovative methods to facilitate learning for both their internal and external customers.

A unique delivery approach was developed to combine live and recorded webinar sessions with action learning sets, work-based projects, podcasts and other social media tools. This combination of delivery methods reinforces learning and provides the opportunity for Rolls-Royce employees to tailor their programme, depending on their specific learning and business needs.

“This has been a very exciting project”, says Joseph Grech, Senior Consultant at Watson Martin Partnership. “This led us to rethink the way we deliver L&D qualifications. As L&D professionals we need to lead from the front and use the delivery methods that we know work best within the profession”.

The seminar takes place in theatre 3, January 29 - the second day of the exhibition - at 10:15 am. Places are free of charge to exhibition visitors and allocated on a first come first served basis.

Grech continues: “The collaboration with Rolls-Royce was a fantastic opportunity as they embraced our values and ethos for adult learning programmes. We have implemented a global L&D development programme that made use of the latest learning technologies and knowledge-sharing activities and I firmly believe this is imperative to the success of the project”.

Watson Martin Partnership has been helping HR and L&D professionals further their career through globally-recognised CIPD qualifications for over 10 years. More information about the new L&D qualifications is available on stand 8. The team of learning experts will be available throughout the event to help visitors discover how they can enhance their career through flexible, multi-mode learning programmes.
