Leading provider of Lectora e-learning solutions, Transition, is giving away a free copy of Diane Elkins' book 'E-Learning Uncovered: From Concept to Execution' with every confirmed booking of their two-day Lectora training course in November.

According to Transition's Miles Corbett, "E-Learning Uncovered is the 'Highway Code' for Lectora and is a must-have reference for every Lectora author; it has all the content needed to self-study your way up to the Lectora Certified Author Examination. We should know - all of Transition's instructional designers and trainers use this book."

Transition is launching its two-day Lectora Fundamentals and Intermediate training course in November, in London. The course is designed for the newcomer to Lectora and only requires that the learner has a basic understanding of Windows. Corbett is confident that, "Learners who start with absolutely no Lectora skills become highly productive within just a couple of days."

The course is of particular value to corporate learning departments, which are seeking to cut costs and yet increase learning - which often means developing more courses in-house. Aware of this, Transition specialises in offering rapid course-development tools such as Lectora, which is the world's leading e-learning software - and is used by the majority of the Global 2000 companies as well as all five branches of the US military.

With drag and drop functionality and an intuitive user interface, Lectora is an easy tool to adopt, but a little training will help companies unleash Lectora's full potential. The two-day Lectora Fundamentals and Intermediate training courses builds learners' skills and gives them the confidence to create their own courses. Diane Elkins' book will continue to aid course authors once they have finished the training. The book's author has 15 years' experience in learning and specialises in rapid development tools like Lectora.

The course is available from November; bookings are made direct with Transition. The free book offer runs until continue until 31 December 2011.
