Transition expands reach of premier learning management system to Romania
Transition, a leading provider of e-learning products, services and solutions, announces the release of a Romanian language version of CourseMill for IBM WebSphere Portal.
Working closely with both its business partner in Romania - Memory Computers SA - and its
long-term global business partner IBM, Transition is making
CourseMill for IBM WebSphere Portal available in the Romanian
language for the first time.
CourseMill for IBM
WebSphere Portal combines the power of two of the world's
top learning management systems - Trivantis' CourseMill and IBM's
WebSphere Portal, into CourseMill for IBM WebSphere Portal - a new,
single solution, which is an ideal learning management system for
small- to medium-sized organisations - especially those with an IBM
Lotus infrastructure.
According to Transition's Miles Corbett, CourseMill for IBM
WebSphere Portal "delivers high-end learning management features at
an affordable price - it has the kind of feature set which
previously only large companies could afford. Now it's available to
pretty much everyone. It's a big leap - and now it's available in
Romanian, on top of English, French, Spanish, German, Italian,
Dutch, Norwegian and Mandarin."
Transition's ambitions don't stop at Romania: "We've learned a lot
creating the Romanian version and have geared ourselves to create
versions for other languages easily. It's now very straightforward
for us to create other translated versions of CourseMill for IBM
WebSphere Portal for different languages."
Transition also offers a range of e-learning
services which help organisations to smoothly migrate
their current e-learning content to the new platform, and customise
it to their individual requirements - avoiding the cost of
redeveloping from the ground up. Transition can also create bespoke
e-learning content for training courses.
Corbett says that CourseMill for IBM WebSphere Portal is
recognised as a business partner solution aligned to IBM's Portal
NOW! Programme: "Available with a rapid implementation package,"
says Corbett, "CourseMill is the ideal e-learning solution to adopt
alongside the IBM Portal NOW! solution templates."
At a technical level, CourseMill for IBM WebSphere Portal is based
on proven IBM WebSphere and IBM DB2 technologies - and is
compatible with the same authoring environment used for IBM
Learning Accelerator, Saba. This has the added benefit of enabling
organisations to migrate to the 'full' Learning Accelerator
product, should they so wish.
