“Last year we launched our inaugural Towards Maturity report for the region,” says Laura Overton, CEO and founder of Towards Maturity. “We are very excited to work with Michelle and to explore how our new analyst approach can be extended into Australia. We have seen a steady interest in the Towards Maturity Health Check over the last few years in Australia with over 180 local organisations participating in the last 18 months. With Michelle on board, we are now able to help organisations in the region apply that learning intelligence at a local level.”

On November 20 at 10am, AEDT, Towards Maturity is holding its first webinar that explores how local organisations can accelerate their learning transformation journey. The webinar will introduce the Transformation Curve to the region and will consider how learning leaders in Australia and New Zealand compare with their global peers.

Ockers, who has spent the last 13 years in L&D roles, including designing and leading a Technical Academy for Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA), offers a wealth of local expertise, contacts and knowledge. She also knows how Towards Maturity can help deliver real impact, having first used their benchmark service at CCA to modernise approaches to learning and to improve business performance, then again at Qantas in 2017, where Ockers used the benchmark along with Towards Maturity’s Learner Intelligence as part of her work as strategic advisor on learning transformation. Ockers thinks there is a strong appetite for change in Australia and New Zealand and is very excited to be part of Towards Maturity’s drive to modernise learning.

“The conversation between learning professionals in Australia and New Zealand has shifted a lot in the past few years,” she says. “There is an awareness of the need to transform approaches to move beyond delivering courses to creating strategic value. The insights provided in The Transformation Curve provide clearer guidance than ever on actions required to deliver business impact, no matter where you are on the journey.  I'm partnering with Towards Maturity as we can help accelerate the changes that Australian and New Zealand organisations are ready to make."
