Totara Learning explores the Reinvention Economy at Learning Technologies 2017

As we enter the age of the Reinvention Economy, open source learning technology pioneers Totara Learning will be sharing fresh insight into how the workplace will be reshaped at Learning Technologies 2017, taking place at the Kensington Olympia, London on 1st and 2nd February 2017.

Totara Learning will once again be sponsoring Europe’s biggest L&D exhibition and conference, and six Totara Partners will be attending to share the latest developments in Totara LMS and Totara Social with thousands of attendees.

Learning technology expert, Lars Hyland, will be presenting two sessions called ‘The Reinvention Economy – Business has changed, why can’t your LMS?’, explaining how organisations will need to continuously adapt to meet the demands of uncertain and unpredictable business conditions in today’s fast-moving world. These will take place on Wednesday 1st February from 11.45-12.15 in Theatre 4 and Thursday 2nd February from 13.15-13.45 in Theatre 9.

Additionally, Brynn Gaskill from Virgin Care, a customer of Totara Partner Think Associates, will be presenting a session called ‘How Virgin Care achieved compliance at speed’, and will focus on how the healthcare giant used Totara LMS to secure 86% employee engagement within just 20 weeks. This session will take place on Wednesday 1st February at 4.15-4.45 in Theatre 2.

As well as this, Laura Dangerfield from Halfords, a customer of Synergy Learning, will be leading a session in the conference called ‘Growing your system, adoption and engagement organically’, which will look at how Halfords used Totara LMS to successfully engage its learners. Session T2S4 will run from 11.10-12.20 in the conference, followed by a talk about shifting to the cloud with Richard Kerridge.

This is the first Learning Technologies event since Learning Pool acquired Mind Click last year, and will be focusing on Totara LMS, gamification and off-the-shelf e-learning catalogues for e-learning authoring tool Adapt. They will also be presenting two seminars about gamification and Adapt, and Sam Morgan will be presenting a seminar called ‘Totara LMS - Evolving to meet your needs’ on Thursday 2nd February at 12.30 in Theatre 5. This will focus on how learners can leverage Totara LMS with the software’s latest functionality.

Partner Kineo is a headline sponsor for the event, and will be primarily talking about Totara LMS, interactive video, augmented reality and digital learning content. Kineo’s Steve Mackenzie and Pizza Express’ Ben Walton will be presenting a seminar called ‘A slice of potential: how Pizza Express future-proofed their Totara LMS’ on Wednesday 1st February at 11.45am in Theatre 1.

Engage in Learning will be promoting their range of e-learning courses, including new features such as editable content and instant translation, and will be showcasing their innovative Totara LMS solutions on the stand. Chris Horseman will be presenting two sessions called ‘Discover how you can become an expert e-learning blender on Wednesday 1st February and Thursday 2nd February from 3.30-4pm in Theatre 6.
