Over the past year or so we have seen a growing demand from organisations for performance management solutions. They asked us if there was a way to integrate a solution in the same way as the rest of our LMS: open source, extremely flexible and – last but not least – more cost effectively than some of the existing systems.
Totara chief executive Richard Wyles said: “Organisations want performance management capabilities, but we’re finding similar complaints about existing systems that we were seeing about most LMS – the platforms either cannot be customised or are difficult to do so and are not integrated to enable performance measurement to flow into learning and subsequent improved performance. On top of that, thanks to licensing agreements, many can be incredibly expensive to implement.”
This month will see the launch of Totara Version 2.5, which includes a suite of Performance Management tools. The toolset will bring together many of the elements that make up the successful practice of people management and includes: Goal Setting, Assessment Builder, 360 degree Feedback and Reporting capabilities.
