March’s edition of #SummitSolutions is here. It’s been a dynamic month at Summit Events as we successfully hosted the 25th People Development Summit.

25th People Development Summit Summary

Summit Events proudly hosted the 25th People Development Summit at the EPIC SANA Marqus Hotel from March 12-14. This milestone event brought together over 110 attendees including senior Learning & Development professionals from top global corporations as well as leading L&D solution providers.

The Summit served as a dynamic platform for meaningful connections, collaboration, and the exploration of strategies to address today’s workplace challenges.

We would like to thank Revolve, our lead sponsor, for their valuable support during the summit. Their contribution helped us deliver a high-quality event experience for all attendees.

A Grand Kick-off

The summit began with a warm welcome and an informal lunch, where both familiar and new faces gathered to discuss the exciting opportunities ahead. Attendees then embarked on a cultural adventure through the streets of Lisbon via traditional Tuk Tuks, experiencing the city's vibrant energy and scenic views.

As the evening set in, Clarity4D sponsored a welcome drinks reception, allowing attendees to further connect in a relaxed setting. This was followed by a spectacular three-course dinner, hosted by VA Consultants, which included a light-hearted game that set the tone for an engaging evening. The highlight of the night was an inspiring keynote by the legendary Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards, who captivated the room with his incredible story of resilience and determination.

“Really enjoyable talk. Eddie ‘The Eagle’ was very engaging and provided a fascinating insight into his career and mindset.” Enterprise Sales Specialist at Netex Learning

A Day of Insightful Conversations & Business Development

Day 2 began with a hearty breakfast, fuelling attendees for a day of high-impact one-to-one meetings between top-tier delegates and solution providers. These meetings fostered valuable discussions, helping businesses explore tailored solutions and forge strong partnerships.

Beyond the meetings, Thursday featured five expert-led strategy group sessions covering key industry themes:

  • Nick Halder on Wellbeing Beyond the "App"
  • Laura Ashley-Timms on The Easiest Way to Deliver a Coaching Culture
  • Ron Edwards on Technology-Infused Leadership Development Strategy
  • Sonia Gupta on Promoting Neuro-Inclusion in Workplace Culture
  • John Gregg on Measuring Learning Impact & Providing Value

“The event was excellently organised and flowed seamlessly. Most importantly, I have met some great people and have learnt so much about L&D, and myself too. I thoroughly enjoyed the strategy sessions and meeting the suppliers. We had so much fun on the tuk-tuk tour too. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”  L&D Manager at Groundwork

The evening continued the momentum with an exquisite dining experience at a renowned local restaurant, where attendees deepened their connections over exceptional food, wine, and engaging discussions.

“A truly well-executed event with outstanding sessions, top-quality suppliers, and an amazing venue. The Summit team was incredibly supportive throughout, ensuring a seamless experience. The networking opportunities were excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed the three days.” Head of L&D at EMCOR Group PLC
