Learning NewsSponge

Sponge, a leading digital learning provider, launches a refreshed brand and a new website to celebrate the expansion of the Sponge Group, under Aliter Capital's investment and guidance.

With sights set on the New Year, Sponge has launched the refreshed brand and unveils the new website – www.spongelearning.com.

Sponge has come together with technology specialists Bolt Learning, under the new Sponge brand. Last month, microlearning experts Skillpill joined the group to further strengthen Sponge’s credentials as a market-leading full-service digital learning business.

The new Sponge website showcases the Group’s core offerings of technologies, bespoke digital learning, ready-to-go-elearning and consultancy services, to better meet the needs of the clients and the world we find ourselves in.

New logo, new tagline and new website

Louise Pasterfield, Director of Strategy, Marketing and Communications at Sponge, said: “We are excited to offer a bold new vision of digital learning – one that combines award-winning creativity, cutting-edge technology, learning science and outstanding learning products.

“To mark our change as a company, we have a new clean and modern brand that reflects our professionalism combined with our approachability. We’ve introduced a full stop that signifies an end to the old Sponge and start of the new Sponge. We have bold new colours and a new symbol: we are using a full circle in our graphics, taken from the “o” in Sponge, which represents our holistic approach to working with our clients and placing the learners at the centre.

“With the accompanying tagline “Learning. Reimagined.”, our new website is live from today at the new address www.spongelearning.com.”

New thinking for better digital learning

Tom Bright, Commercial Director at Sponge, said: “This is an exciting new chapter and we’re passionate about reimagining learning – enhancing learner experiences and including in-depth analytics to better understand them as individuals. This is how we will continue to improve the effectiveness of learning.

“The Group has a heritage rooted in creative bespoke digital learning, consultancy and cutting-edge learning technology, and this will continue, as will a true emphasis on the science of learning.

“As a trusted partner, we’re excited to take digital learning to the next level with our proprietary learning platform Spark, authoring tool Ignite, and our ready-to-go elearning for rapid deployment.”

Gerry Griffin, founder of Skillpill, said: “We are happy to be part of our new family. Skillpill offers ready-to-go courses, with a particular strength in leadership and management skills training, with a library of over 500 off-the- shelf modules on soft skills topics available in more than 20 languages.

“Although remaining under own brand, we have a shared sense of purpose with Sponge – it is reflected in the care for our clients, in our passion for creativity and in our thirst for innovation.”

This rebrand places the company in an ideal position from which to further push the boundaries of workplace learning and deliver digital learning that is measurable, engaging and that empowers employees to deliver real results.
