Reed Business School reports outstanding results in the September 2013 CIPD examinations
The "mixed-mode" approach to CIPD qualification pays off for Reed Business School candidates.
The September 2013 CIPD exam results are out and Reed Business School students have scored significantly higher than the national average. A massive 82% of CIPD Advanced Diploma candidates achieved a pass or above, compared to the national average pass rate of 67%.
One of the reasons for this is the comprehensive "mixed-mode" approach offered by the organisation. The approach is work-based. This means that candidates present a narrative demonstrating knowledge and a body of evidence from their job to illustrate their understanding of different topics. This is combined with one-to-one guidance meetings, tailored development activities, directed self-study and reading, and workshops to steer candidates effectively through the CIPD qualifications.
Candidates find that a combination of evidence-based assessment together with workshops in topics where their experience is more limited offers the best of both worlds. Many report that the exam workshops and one-to-one support equip them well for the challenges of the qualification:
"I attended the exam workshop and I am so glad I went! The trainer made it very fun event to attend and gave us very practical knowledge. I'd recommend it to anyone!",
"I couldn't have passed the exam without the one-to-one support of my adviser."
Reed Business School Partner Melanie Martin commented:
“These outstanding results will encourage our candidates to continue their professional growth and use their new found knowledge to develop leading edge practices for their workplace. Congratulations to all advisers too on their inspirational support for learning and great determination in supporting our candidates to achieve so well."
