Wiltshire-based shepherd turned business coach and his company Raising the Baa will be making its first appearance at Learning & Skills 2015, coinciding with the imminent launch of his book ‘Sheep. Shepherd. Dog. Building the most awesome team around you’. A life-long contract shepherd with a track record in building an international team of part-time direct salespeople, Chris Farnsworth and his team at Raising the Baa help executive teams to develop their leadership and communications skills through the ewe-nique challenge of herding sheep.

“If the proverbial One Man and his Dog can herd sheep into a pen, we feel that a group of intelligent colleagues, using the best of their business skills, are able to achieve the task. It’s fair to say that some companies perform much better than others!” says Farnsworth.

Organisational change is a key motivator for clients who engage Raising the Baa, which include Airbus, IKEA, Pret A Manger, Clarks, Waitrose, Nationwide and premier league football club Burnley.

“The sheep act as a powerful metaphor for the unpredictability and fast pace of most businesses, in addition to bringing a totally different aspect to team building” says Caroline Palmer, director of Raising the Baa.

“We chose to invest in our presence at Learning & Skills 2015 as I visited the event last year and was impressed by the range of high quality exhibitors and extensive programme of L&D seminars”, continues Palmer.

Visitors are invited to meet Chris, Caroline and a sheep at the event which takes place at London’s Olympia exhibition centre on 28th and 29th January 2015. ENDS
