Premier IT is delighted to announce the launch of its latest e-Learning development project, for Barts and The London NHS Trust, to deliver an interactive Junior Doctors Cerner Millennium Induction training programme to all new Junior Doctors at the Trust.

Fully customised to suit Trust specific processes and procedures, the e-Learning is hosted via the Premier IT Learning Management System (LMS) which enables Barts to track progress, conduct assessments and produce reports on employee performance.

Designed for completion within three hours, the programme was tailored to focus on key areas relevant to the role of a Junior Doctor including:

• searching for patients and selecting relevant encounters
• ordering tests and procedures
• recording problems, diagnoses, allergies and procedures
• managing inboxes

Implementation of the e-Learning programme has enabled Junior Doctors to complete training
pre-employment and revisit it whenever required. Benjamin Cazin, Head of ICT Learning and Development at Barts and The London NHS Trust says: “Premier IT’s e-Learning solution has had a huge impact on our Junior Doctors learning programme. We have had a significant reduction in classroom training, which has freed up time, money and resources here at the Trust”.

Barts and The London NHS Trust is one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers with three London hospitals and over 8,000 employees.

Cerner Millennium is a leading patient administration system.
