Premier IT and Gemini Resourcing team up to launch new business network for former members of the UK armed forces
Today see the launch of the Forces Business Network (FBN), a business networking facility for ex-serving members of the UK Armed Forces that also aims to support and raise money for related charities. The FBN was created by Premier IT, the workforce performance improvement specialist and Gemini Resourcing UK, an independent, multi-sector recruitment agency.
Membership is FREE and active participation will enable members to access a network of individuals and companies who can work with each other to make their respective businesses succeed. To join, prospective members simply need to fill out the online registration form at www.forcesbusinessnetwork.org.uk. The website contains a full member directory, details of all upcoming networking events and information on UK Armed Forces related charities.
The Forces Business Network (FBN) runs business networking events on a bi-monthly basis in London. The only criteria to attend is that you are an ex-serving member of The UK Armed Forces and wherever possible the events will be free to attend.
The inaugural FBN Networking Event will be held on Friday 28th November 2008 at The Pryors Bank Café in Fulham London, from 1pm - 2.30pm, including a buffet lunch. The café is the latest self-help initiative from the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation, a registered charity that supports and houses vulnerable and disabled ex-Servicemen and women. Through their unique apprenticeship training programme, the café is a self-sustaining project which benefits former homeless ex-Servicemen by getting them back into a working environment. Prior registration to attend is compulsory as numbers are limited to 30. You can pre-register by emailing us at: [email protected].
Peter Bodley-Scott, Director, Premier IT says: "We are delighted to have developed a network to bring together like minded ex-forces business people who can add value to each others businesses and at the same time raise money for Forces related charities, in particular the Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation. With a growing number of ex-service men and women employees at both Premier IT and Gemini Resourcing UK, we understand the demand for a network such as FBN".
