Degree programmes for designers and developers of functional clothing

Third admissions’ workshop for the pilot course commencing in February 2020 takes place in the middle of January in Munich.

The BARTENSTEIN® Academy, a private, specialised academy with certified two-year degree programmes for designers and developers of functional clothing starts its first classes as a pilot in February 2020.

Young apparel designers and developers, but also ambitioned tailor masters, that passionately burn for functional solutions and sustainable clothing design in the field of outdoor, performance sports or techfashion can apply from now on for the admissions’ workshop from 16th to 17th January 2020. Closing date for the application phase will be 30th December.

The admissions´ workshop is an experience, in which the working atmosphere of the BARTENSTEIN® Academy is brought to life. Authentic challenges are approached in an ambience of team work, appreciative collaboration, sparkling creativity and highest respect for the ideas generated. The individual efficiency can be experienced in the diverse set of talent amongst the applicants. The admission criteria are mainly based upon the ability of the applicant to integrate their own results in the result of the group chosen. It is not about competition, rejection or hard selection.
A creative design & development leader and member of the BARTENSTEIN® expert team, will guide through the all-day workshop challenge. The future of the planet can only be shaped and developed together. That is the attitude of the BARTENSTEIN® Academy educational staff.

The BARTENSTEIN® Academy has opened their new facilities in the first floor of the Media-Academy in the Bavaria Filmpark in Munich/Gruenwald. The academy has already started in November with workshops targeted at the apparel industry for further education in the field of 3D design and sustainable innovation. Top industry experts pass on their know-how in a way tailored to the functional clothing design industry and integrate their passion for the combination of future orientated digital processes with solid craftmanship.

Applicants for the certified two-year degree program commencing on 12th February 2020 should already have finished an educational program as a fashion designer, an apparel engineer or a tailor master and apply with a motivational letter and a documentation of projects they already realised. Applications are accepted until 30th December.

Academically is the BARTENSTEIN® course a masters-oriented education programme where students can achieve an equivalent of 120 ECTS.
