Hult Business School and Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) have won a Bronze medal at the International Serious Play Awards 2018.

International Serious Play Awards honor outstanding commercial titles used for education or training. Fifteen serious games designed for use in K12 or higher education have been cited for excellence in the 2018 International Serious Play Award Program.

The award-winning entry, Kitchen King, is a game teaching project planning, execution, and financial control developed for the MBA program at the Hult Business School.

The game, developed by TIS, puts players in charge of a fictional commercial kitchen for a day, where they need to maximize sales while managing customer queues, resources, and budgets. Thus, the game helps players seamlessly employ project planning, execution, and control skills. The result is a tight and addictive gaming experience that inculcates project management skills through application.

TIS continues to innovate and develop serious games that ensure learners practice and enhance their skills through challenging, engaging gameplay. This award further solidifies TIS’ reputation as a strong global player in the serious games for learning space.
