Mumbai, January 14, 2014: Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) - the pioneer and global leader of learning solutions has announced several significant achievements in 2013 and outlined key corporate objectives for 2014. Changing the way the world learns, TIS has always channelized instructional design theory into application-based robust product formats that offer superior learning experience.
Some of the key highlights of 2013 include:
- Launch of LEARNow – a cloud-based, cross-platform, cross-device mobile learning ecosystem allowing users to author and deliver seamless learning content that transcends mobile devices and operating systems, at one go.
- TIS collaborated with a telecom major to offer Adaptive Learning Solutions and thus became the first company to develop personalized learning environment for corporate houses.
- Introduced innovative solutions like customizable standalone simulations in spreadsheet software offering advantages of lower costs, reduced development timeline, flexibility in experimentation, and elegant Graphical User Interface (GUI).
- The company also introduced cybersecurity training leveraging games and simulations to improve the cybersecurity profile of a business and move it away from a punitive and “check the box” mentality.
- Over 200 people participated in the Tata Interactive Learning Forum (TLF) held in the USA, India and Middle East. TLF is a global symposium which enables thought leaders and decision makers across various segments to share industry best practices and participate in thought-provoking discussions.
- Formed an alliance with Center for Talent Reporting, and introduced TDRp standards to TIS’ customers globally.
- Won 15 international awards (8 Brandon Hall Excellence Awards, sweeping 3 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze) for its multiple learning formats.
“2013 has been a very productive year for TIS and one in which we continued to evolve and develop,” said Tij Nerurkar, Chief Operating Officer, E-learning, TIS. “After 23 years in the custom learning space, and having delighted a global customer base of several hundred organizations, we continue to evolve and innovate using technology for better learning experience.”
In 2014, TIS will launch a few MOOCs (massive open online courseware) for its clients in the corporate segment, as several companies have been expressing interest to adapt the technology for lifelong learning and professional development.
TIS will also continue to focus on enabling learning through mobile technology. Tij added, “As mobile technology evolves into wearable devices, it remains to be seen if these platforms become a disruption in online learning. Our practice teams will prototype formats using augmented reality to suit the appetite of such devices.”
