Tata Interactive wins Gold at Reader's Digest Pegasus CSR Awards 2008.

Global learning solutions provider Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) was awarded the Gold prize at the Reader's Digest Pegasus Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award at a ceremony held on January 21, 2009 at New Delhi, India. TIS won the award in the category 'Contribution to Society - Imparting Education' for their social sustainability endeavors in the field of learning disabilities (LD) in India.

TIS has been involved with this cause since 2002. The initiative began with supporting an LD certification clinic at Mumbai, India and was followed by progressive levels of engagement, including hosting the annual Tata Interactive Learning Disability Forums (TLDF) since 2006 to facilitate knowledge sharing amongst leaders in the field of LD.

According to Mr J C Mistry - Senior Vice President, TIS, who also heads its LD initiatives, "The TLDF 2008 focused on facilitating research activities and enabling positive action in the field of LD. TIS, along with the LD certification clinic, explored and analyzed the pre- and post-certification life of children with learning difficulties. In addition, the event this year was extended beyond Mumbai to include TIS's second business center, Kolkata as well, to help us reach more people."
