Tata Interactive Systems' simulation short-listed for IT Training Award
A sales simulation created by global learning solutions developer, Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) for telecom major, Telus has made it to the final round of the IT Training Awards.
Telus (www.telus.com), one of Canada's leading telecommunication companies, recently rolled out a sales simulation developed by Tata Interactive Systems (www.tatainteractive.com) to ensure that the sales strategy formulated at the corporate level percolated to the customer-facing sales representatives in stores, distributed across the vast geographical area of Canada. The solution was selected for the finals by the judging panel of the prestigious IT Training Awards (www.ittrainingawards.com) in the Staff Development Programme of the Year category.
According to Rupesh Goel, Head - Simulations at TIS, "The sales simulation was designed for a high level of learner engagement and motivation, and also ensured excellent business value and cost efficiencies. It offered the learner seamless conversation choices spanning the entire customer-representative engagement, right from the moment the customer walked in up to the close of the sale. Its explicit decision-making interventions compelled the learner to critically evaluate the conversation and translate his/her 'reading' of the situation into measurable recommendations."
The Telus simulation now moves into the second and final stage of judging, comprising a face-to-face presentation made to a panel of industry experts. The IT Training Awards are widely regarded as the benchmark for excellence throughout the IT training industry. The final winners will be announced at The Dorchester, Park Lane, London, at the Institute's prestigious Awards Dinner, held on the first Thursday of February each year.
