Tata Interactive Systems and Solutions Training partner
Health and safety management specialist Solutions Training & Advisory Limited, is partnering with Tata Interactive Systems (TIS) to produce e-learning materials covering safety issues for 'first response units', including fire and ambulance services.
Health and safety management specialist Solutions Training & Advisory Limited, has embarked on a partnership agreement with the global e-learning producer, Tata Interactive Systems (TIS), to produce a series of e-learning materials covering safety issues for 'first response units', including fire and ambulance services. These e-learning materials are intended for fire fighters and ambulance crews working on the front line.
Solutions Training is supplying the subject matter expertise for the programmes and TIS is designing, developing, producing and hosting the e-learning materials.
Paul Meek, founder and managing director of Solutions Training, commented: "At Solutions Training, we offer of a combination of instructor-led training and e-learning courses designed to help employers meet legal and regulatory compliance responsibilities and, most importantly, protect and manage the risks of their employees within the workplace. We believe this learning approach will be significantly more economical and when complimented with instructor-led training provide far better learning outcomes.
"Our philosophy is to meet best practice standards and compliance obligations but to keep it as simple and practical as possible - so that it sticks with our learners! We design all our courses using experienced health and safety professionals with industry sector knowledge.
"We began our partnership with TIS recently by producing a programme on fire service related health & safety issues," he continued. "The course we've produced is called, 'Manual Handling for the Fire and Rescue Services'.
"There is a real market need for the sort of blended learning programmes that we are producing with TIS - especially because the learners tend to work shifts, which can make it difficult for them to attend 'traditional' classroom-based training courses," Meek added. "Having a wealth of vital information available to them in e-learning form means that learners can access these materials at any convenient time - such as quieter periods at work.
"The key benefit of having these programmes is that they deliver up-to-date vital safety information to front line professionals at their work bases - which will not only help these professionals to perform their duties but will also help them to keep the rest of us safe!"
TIS's Sunil Mehta commented: "Although TIS has many years experience in producing e-learning materials - and has completed over 1,000 individual e-learning projects - we're delighted to be partnering Solutions Training and feel sure that the learning materials that we are producing will attract a great deal of interest from 'first response units' throughout the UK.
"Moreover, TIS's partnership with Solutions Training now enables us to offer all our corporate clients access to this wealth of health and safety-related subject matter expertise, instructor-led training and e-learning approaches," he added.
