TATA Interactive Systems expands into the mainland European market
TATA Interactive Systems (TIS)'s recent winning of contracts to develop custom-built e-learning programmes for companies based in mainland Europe - including peripherals producer Hewlett-Packard and food products producer Nestle, along with UNICEF, in Geneva - has prompted the global designer and developer of e-learning materials to expand its operations by opening an office in Zurich, Switzerland, to serve central Europe.
TIS's new Zurich office is headed by Daniele Zuccheri, with instructional design skills being supplied locally by Ade Derbyshire-Moore, formerly of ACT e-learning, in Sheffield.
The contracts on which the new TIS office in Zurich is working were all won within the last six months and include programmes on compliance, sales, process and induction training.
Sambit Mohapatra, head of TIS in the UK and Europe, commented: "This move is part of our strategy to achieve the vision of being the global first choice for e-learning.
"Having gained some 14 years experience of working on and delivering over 600 completed e-learning projects in the USA, UK, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, TIS is well placed to offer the benefit of that considerable experience to the increasingly discerning buyers of e-learning in Europe.
"We intend to keep our European and UK headquarters in London but our expansion to Switzerland will allow our developers to work more closely on-site with our clients there as well as in Germany," he added.
