TATA Interactive Systems' sales team expansion

Learning NewsMPS Interactive Systems

In response to growing demand for its services in the UK, TATA Interactive Systems (TIS), which has one of the world's largest teams for the design and development of custom-built e-learning solutions, has expanded its salesforce with the addition of two account directors.

Jyotsana (Jo) Aggarwal - formerly a senior executive with TIS based in Bombay - has become TIS's UK account director with special responsibility for clients in the financial services, insurance, pharmaceuticals, utilities and healthcare sectors.

Her colleague, Pankaj Jathar - also, formerly with TIS in Bombay - is now looking after TIS clients in the telecom sector.

Sanjaya Sharma, TIS's chief executive, commented: "TIS is now a truly global player in the market for high quality, custom-built e-learning programmes - both within the education and corporate markets. We have seen substantial growth in the UK market over the past 12 months and have signed up a number of new clients across the board but, especially, in the financial services and aerospace industries."

According to Sambit Mohapatra, head of TIS in the UK: "The growing demand for TIS's custom-built e-learning programmes, together with the company's recent move into the generic e-learning market, means that the company's turnover in the UK is set to double this coming year. Obviously, as our market has expanded significantly, our UK salesforce has been under increasing pressure to meet clients' needs.

"The addition of Jo and Pankaj to our sales team in the UK should help us not only to meet our targets but also to maintain the high standards of customer care that we set ourselves.

"TIS places great emphasis on working closely with clients to help them achieve their learning objectives and exceeding customer expectations where e-learning is concerned," he added. "It is also deeply committed to working to internationally-recognised, independently certificated, high quality management processes to ensure that projects are delivered to time, 'specification' and budget.

"Moreover, our clients tell us that they have both saved money from their training budgets and exceeded their objectives from the e-learning programmes to which we have contributed," he said.
