Mindtools Kineo helps close the management development gap for small businesses and teams

New Mindtools For Teams gives smaller organizations, and teams within larger organizations, easy access to practical learning, management development, and AI-powered coaching.

Small businesses often face a familiar challenge: as teams grow, the need to develop managers and build workforce capability grows with them – but they often don’t have the time, budget, or dedicated L&D resource to support that development.

The same challenge can exist within larger organizations, where individual teams or groups need access to high-quality learning without requiring a separate L&D programme or every individual to purchase their own subscription.

Now, Mindtools Kineo has launched Mindtools For Teams, to help growing businesses and teams to support workforce development without the complexity of implementing a full learning platform or building an extensive L&D function. It brings together practical learning content, bite-sized Skill Bites courses, and AI-powered coaching to provide accessible support for everyday workplace challenges.

Pete Smith, Product Manager at Mindtools Kineo says:

‘Small businesses need to develop their people just as much as larger organizations, but they don’t always have the L&D resource to make that happen. Mindtools For Teams is designed to bridge that gap, without adding unnecessary complexity. It gives growing businesses and teams within larger private and public sector organizations, including charities and academic institutions, practical, accessible learning and management support that employees can use when they need it.’

Practical development for growing teams

Mindtools For Teams gives organizations access to resources designed around real-world workplace needs, from developing new managers to strengthening everyday management and leadership skills.

The subscription includes:

  • Leadership and management essentials to help build confident, capable managers
  • Bite-sized Skill Bites courses offering practical techniques, tips and strategies that can be applied immediately
  • Ask M:Coach, an AI-powered leadership coach providing on-demand guidance when employees need support
  • Content Hub access, including articles, courses, podcasts, videos, quizzes and other learning resources
  • Skillset-driven playlists to help employees focus their learning on specific development needs
  • Digital Learning certification and CPD points to recognise learning achievements.

The resources are designed to fit around busy working lives, giving employees access to learning in formats that can be used as part of the working day rather than requiring lengthy, time-intensive courses.

Mindtools For Teams is available for teams of 10, 25 or 50 employees, with a single annual subscription covering access for the whole team.

‘Effective learning doesn’t always need to involve a complex programme or a large L&D team,’ added Paul Buller, Head of Content at Mindtools Kineo. ‘Sometimes what people need is the right guidance at the right moment – whether that’s a new manager looking for help with a difficult conversation, or an employee wanting to build a specific skill. Combining practical content with AI-powered coaching gives growing teams that support in a way that is accessible and easy to use.’
