Mediazoo Group CEO Giles Smith joins Assemble You as Non-Executive Director to support growth opportunities for both businesses
Giles Smith, CEO of Mediazoo Group, joins the board of expert-led workplace learning company Assemble You as a Non-Executive Director as it enters its next stage of growth.
Assemble You, the expert-led workplace learning company, has appointed Giles Smith, CEO of Mediazoo Group, as a Non-Executive Director. The appointment takes effect from Monday 2nd November 2026.
Assemble You creates learning that fits into real working days: podcast-style lessons, short video learning and series-based journeys, voiced by practitioners, authors and specialists. 1,000+ organisations worldwide use its libraries, which are built to plug straight into LMS, LXP and partner platforms. Its range covers AI confidence, behavioural skills, leadership, Microsoft 365 and compliance training.
Giles joins the board as the company enters its next stage of growth. He brings more than 25 years’ experience in workplace learning, including 14 years in senior sales and solutions roles at QA, and has led Mediazoo Group since 2023. The Group’s learning and communications work, which puts human performance first, has won numerous industry awards. As CEO, Giles has overseen the acquisition of behavioural science business Uncertainty Experts and was the driving vision behind Mediazoo Group’s Business Performance Platform, recently launched on Microsoft Marketplace.
The appointment is a natural complement to Giles’s role as CEO of Mediazoo Group. Both businesses believe learning works best when it is human, practical and built around how people really work, and the connection opens up new opportunities for each of them.
Adam Lacey, Co-Founder of Assemble You, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Giles Smith to Assemble You as a Non-Executive Director. We’ve admired Giles for some time and have been very impressed by his stewardship of Mediazoo. Having him on board as we enter our next stage of growth is a huge boost. His industry and commercial experience is exactly what we need right now, and we’re looking forward to getting started.”
Giles Smith, CEO of Mediazoo Group, says: “I’ve spent a lot of my career thinking about how people really learn at work, and I’ve never believed we have a content problem. There’s more great content available than ever. The challenge is engaging people in a way that fits their lives and reflects how they actually want to learn. That’s what Adam and Richard have understood with Assemble You. They’ve created learning people choose to engage with and come back to. I can see a lot of opportunity in what we could do together, and I’m really looking forward to supporting Adam, Richard and the team as they grow.”
