LINE Communications one of Europe’s leading providers of learning and communications, announces the launch of LINEstream on 3rd September 2012.

The LINEstream software platform enables organisations to quickly create, publish, manage and update, cross platform, mobile applications to deliver immediate, targeted knowledge to their people. LINEstream puts the power of creating smartphone and tablet apps into the hands of staff, subject matter experts and partner agencies across global organisations. It is currently being used to support a global performance support programme for a major automotive client. LINEstream can be used to create learning, communications, marketing and information apps and requires only a single day of training prior to use. This simplicity and flexibility inspired one client to remark that “The creator is limited only by their imagination.”

LINEstream benefits from over 20 years of LINE’s experience in transforming businesses through learning innovation and 10 years in creating mobile content, built in. The platform provides a simple, web-based interface through which creators access a broad range of app templates with standardised navigation. Creators use the LINEstream templates to build apps. LINEstream is highly intuitive and the training provided is mainly to familiarise creators with the significant range of template types that they can engage with. Content can then be rapidly built by content creators, subject matter experts or other agencies, reducing the time required to get key learning, communications and information messaging out to market.

LINEstream has no limit to the number of apps that can be created. It contains options as to how suites of apps may be structured to support meaningful journeys through content and provides a secure ecosystem within which content can be created and protected. LINEstream is cloud hosted and completed apps may be hosted either side of an organisational firewall depending on the preference of the organisation. The platform has been specifically designed to integrate easily within existing organisational IT infrastructures.

National and international research demonstrates that organisations are increasingly looking to the power of mobile technologies to help them secure competitive edge and improve service delivery. LINE’s own most recent market survey shows that 100% of respondents are either implementing mobile learning currently, or are interested in exploring its potential.

Dominic Mason, Head of Mobile at LINE says: "LINEstream represents the distillation of many years of collective smartphone and tablet design and development experience into a platform that organisations can now licence and use themselves to service internal clients. Using LINEstream is simple and allows organisations to capitalise on the appetite for mobile content by rapidly deploying this scalable, secure platform. LINE's clients are planning to use LINEstream for learning, marketing, communications and other internal mobile apps after only one day's training."

Steve Ash, Director at LINE says “We are delighted to announce the launch of LINEstream. The technical and creative expertise of the LINE team has been forged together to create a platform which genuinely has the power to transform organisational performance. Ease of use, high quality output and simple integration with existing organisational systems have been at the heart of our thinking as we developed LINEstream. Increasingly, organisations are looking to mobile technologies to help them solve a range of business challenges. LINEstream offers a unique and exciting platform from which to help meet these needs”.
