LINE showcases continued innovation in Mobile and Augmented Reality learning projects at ITEC
LINE Communications, a key provider of learning and development solutions to the defence sector, will once again be exhibiting at the ITEC Defence Exhibition and Conference in London on the 22-24th of May.
After showcasing a mobile learning programme for the iPad at ITEC in 2010, LINE has experienced a continued demand for mobile learning. Located on stand H144 LINE will be showcasing all of its mobile learning projects developed for iPads and other mobile devices, as well as its newly developed Augmented Reality (AR) procedural training using AR Goggles. LINE Defence will also be showcasing its more traditional technology-based-training content and end-to-end learning solutions developed for the MOD and Tri-Services.
LINE’s Lead Consultant, Steve Barden will be speaking in the Conference on Day 1 (22nd May) under the theme titled: Requirements to Achieve V&V, chaired by Neil Stewart of Selex Systems. Steve’s session Do Better, Do Quicker looks at how improving the metrics of learning and instructional effectiveness is the constant imperative and in the climate of needing to deliver more learning, more efficiently, it requires a number of critical elements to work in harmony to achieve these aims.
On Day 2 of the event (23rd May) LINE’s Defence Business Development Manager, Charlotte Marshall and its Defence Learning Consultant, Roy Evans will be speaking in the Conference under the theme titled: Mobile Applications for Training Effectiveness, which is being chaired by Pete Marion of the U.S. Army. The presentation, Mobile: Next Generation Training will detail how mobile learning and Augmented Reality can enhance current learning whilst citing findings from current projects. The session will cover:
- Opportunities available to a defence organisation looking to exploit mobile learning technology
- Lessons learned to date from British Army efforts to integrate mobile culture and language training technology.
- Details on how mobile devices can enhance existing training provisions and replace some classroom content.
